Here is my latest build, a 6152/1 with a dial which I call the "classic of classics", it's the iconic 4 liner LUMINOR PANERAI MARINA MILITARE dial with seconds at 9 which identifies the moment when Panerai stopped equipping their .
For this build I opted for a Nightwatch case set with correct engravings between the lugs, two piece bezel and gen-spec T25 plexi. Case received some special attention here as I wanted to improve my usual patination methods.
The CG is reworked and is big, beefy and flush. This is a qulity build. The watch comes complete with the 26mm custom vintage strap and it is VERY comfortable and has some extra tail. Also comes with 26mm screw type spring bars for super easy strap changes. Lug bars: Custom made spring loaded bars with correct length. Movement: Genuine NON-alarm Angelus SF240 8 Days movement (no conversions, newly made bridges, etc.). Carefully restored, cleaned, adjusted. Winding stem thread is 1.2mm.

Anatomy Of A Vintage Panerai. MARINA MILITARE. Reference 6152/1 Made in the 1940s. 17 Jewel Rolex Movement with 8MM Rolex Brevet Crown. Today we are going to closely examine a stunningly beautiful vintage Panerai that was made in the late 1940s for the Italian Royal Navy. The explanation for the existence of Luminor dials in Ref. 6152/1 watches without crown-protecting device is pretty simple. In these cases, the original Radiomir dials were replaced with modern Luminor dials at some point after 1965. Compared to the PAM127 on ETA which draws inspiration from 6152/1, Panerai improved it and made it accessible by releasing the 1000 pieces PAM673 on the in-house movement. PAM673 is closest to the Vintage 6152/1, because of it's gilded gold needle hands, as present in the 1st version of 6152/1 with the Marina Militare wordings without the sub-seconds dial.
Why shape the case: Before we start its important to understand that the 6152 Case is very close to the authentic case. Panerai had a small team of "finishers" that hand-finished their cases, in fact expensive watches are still made this way today (finished by hand). This build is to create a 6152/1 four liner.
