HOLD YOUR BREITLING WATCH FIRMLY AND PLACE THE FORKED END OF THE TOOL BETWEEN ONE OF THE LUGS AND THE STRAP SIDE. PUSH THE SPRING BAR OUT OF THE LUG HOLE . You could switch to a Tag/Breitling deployant type clasp (with a matching band) that grips the strap and does not use the holes, so the adjustments are infinite, as one suggestion.
There are spring bars in the ends where the rubber strap fits inside each end of the clasp.
